India International Sports Summit is a premier sports convention for policy advocacy and networking with industry stakeholders to work towards pro-industry policies and to usher a sea-change in the sports eco-system of India.

The purpose of this conclave is to give more prominence to sports and its development to build a nation, a 21st Century Inida that is not only competitive and powerful in sports, but also to create a mass movement in sports and sustain the inertia with an aspiration to build a sporting nation with a robust sports eco-system.

An initiative by Trans Stadia, the MD, CEO — Udit Sheth and his brilliant team that works towards changing the entire sports scenario around the country with importance given to elements like coaching, infrastructure, sponsorship and social impact of sports.

The inaugural ceremony on September 24, 2011 at Trident, Nariman Ppoint Mumbai, included (standing from L:R) Mrs . Sneha Sheth, Shri I. The evening also hosted the IISS Sporting Spirit Awards, India’s first and only awards that recognize and reward rising stars of the future.

The evening concluded with panel discussions, brand launch of Mumbai Fighters – The boxing team that will represent India at the World Series of Boxing and release of Whitepaper prepared by IIM Calcutta and IIM Shillong on ‘Status of Sports Infrastructural in India and Ways to Improve the Sports Infrastructure to achieve Global Standards’ and ‘Sports Readiness of Indian Schools’respectively.
